ICC Media and Communications Department


The International Cricket Council’s Media and Communications department is headed by Claire Furlong, General Manager – Strategic Communications, and includes Sami Ul Hasan, Head of Media and Communications, and Rajshekhar Rao, Manager – Media and Communciations

The MAC department has strategic and operational responsibilities within the ICC and is the public face and voice of the organisation, aimed at generating positive interest, media attention and knowledge of international cricket.

This department is responsible for the promotion and publicity of ICC initiatives, as well as media management of all ICC events, including men’s, women’s, development and U19 tournaments.

The department communicates via media releases, twitter account, the ICC Online Media Zone and the ICC website. 

The MAC department is also responsible for media monitoring, dealing with enquiry emails as well as production of the ICC Annual Report and event Media Guides. 

The department supports the various strands of the organisation and also advises the ICC Chairman, Chief Executive and the senior management on the organisation's public position in relation to matters that affect the ICC.
