Richard Hadlee believes Tendulkar is one of the greats of one day cricket.
New Zealand legend Richard Hadlee has revealed who he believes should be regarded as the greatest ODI player of all time.

"For me two players stand out to challenge for the tag as the 'greatest one-day player' of all time. Whilst there have been many wonderful players, Viv Richards, 'The Master Blaster' and Sachin Tendulkar, 'The Little Master', stand alone," said Hadlee.

"Both have proved to be exceptional players of their time and batsmen who are targeted by the opposition as the key wicket to capture, as they are most likely to dominate any bowling attack and set up a possible win for their team."

"Records will always tell a story. On that basis, I have selected Sachin Tendulkar. Over a long and successful career he has exhibited huge consistency amassing nearly 17,000 runs and averaging 44.00 with a strike rate of nearly 86 including 91 fifties and 43 hundreds.

Every three innings he scores 50 or more and every nine innings he scores a century. His bowling proved to be handy capturing154 wickets."
