India completed a comfortable seven-wicket consolation win over the West Indies to secure third place in Group A at the ICC Champions Trophy.

But its victory wasn’t enough to send it into the semi-finals following Australia’s dramatic win over Pakistan earlier in the day.

The West Indies crumbled to 129 all out with Praveen Kumar (3-22) and Ashish Nehra (3-31) the stars for India with no West Indies batter making more than 23.

In reply, India coasted to a comfortable victory with Virat Kohli making 79 not out.
