Canada XI lost yet another game on its tour to India as they continued building for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Canada XI lost to a select Chhattisgarh XI at Raipur on Sunday in what was the first international game at the newly built Raipur Cricket Stadium in Raipur.

Led by Ruvindu Gunasekera's unbeaten 112, Canada XI posted 279 for 5 in its 50 overs. Among the others Hiral Patel (43), Nitish Kumar (39) and Zubin Surkari (42) contributed to the total. In reply, Chhattisgarh XI chased down the target to win with four wickets to spare. Chhattisgarh XI finished at 280 for 6 in 47 overs. Akshay Bagai was once again the best bowler with figures of 3-61 from his quota of 10 overs. The other bowlers did not create any impression on the home team batsmen.

The next game between the two teams will be played on 23 November again at the Raipur Cricket Stadium.
