The successful company will be granted the rights and responsibilities in managing all such aspects of the tournament, which is the third biggest sporting event in the world.
A proven track record in running the accreditation aspects of world-class sporting events is essential as well as sufficient resources and experience to provide all the necessary services, a state-of-the-art information technology infrastructure and adequately trained personnel.
The successful company will also have either a substantial network of relevant contacts throughout each of the host countries and other territories represented by the teams competing at the event or a proven ability to establish local contacts in each of such countries in order to provide the services to the required standard and within the required timeframes.
"Accreditation is an extremely important function of the event and it will be a prestigious contract for the successful agency to win," said Campbell Jamieson, ICC General Manager - Commercial.
"The ICC Cricket World Cup is the flagship event of the limited-overs game, the ultimate prize. It is crucial the accreditation services for the event are of similarly world-class nature," he said.
