Cricket Kenya secure World Cup training venue
Nairobi Gymkhana, accredited by the ICC as a stadium suitable for ODIs, has been selected as the training venue for Kenya
Kenya's David Obuya.
The squad will be located at the Nairobi Gymkhana Club between now and the event which takes place in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh beginning in February next year. Nairobi Gymkhana is Kenya's premier venue and is accredited by the International Cricket Council as a stadium suitable for one-day international Cricket.
Chief Executive Tom Sears said: 'It is vital we provide our squad with the best facilities available for our World Cup preparations. Nairobi Gymkhana offers excellent wickets for both match and net practice, a superb outfield and the additional benefits of a gym and swimming pool.
'We are very grateful to the Club and its members for allowing us access to the facilities and we have no doubt being based here will help the squad reach the World Cup ready to compete to our full potential.'
