To mark the 100-day countdown to the opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, South Africa fast bowlers Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel participated in a shark dive in Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo with the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy on Tuesday.

Also present to watch the South Africans take the prestigious trophy of ICC's flagship event to the bottom of the 11-metre aquarium tank will be members of South Africa and Pakistan squads along with ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat and Emaar Retail LLC Chief Executive Officer Arif Amiri.

Dubai Aquarium is one of the largest indoor aquariums of its kind in the world at 51m x 20m x 11m in size and holds the Guinness World Record for ‘The Single Largest Acrylic Panel' at 32.88m long x 8.3m high. A 48-metre walk-through tunnel provides 270-degree views from 11 metres below the surface of the tank. With the capacity to hold 10 million litres of water, Dubai Aquarium illuminates the marvels of the ocean floor and showcases one of the most diverse collections of aquatic life worldwide. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo has more than 33,000 aquatic animals, representing more than 250 species. Over 400 sharks and rays live inside this tank, including the largest collection of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world.

The opening ceremony of the 10th ICC Cricket World Cup will be staged in Dhaka on 17 February 2011 and two days later, co-hosts Bangladesh and India will go head to head in the tournament opener in Mirpur on 19 February. Sri Lanka, the third co-host of the tournament, will open its campaign against Canada in Hambantota on 20 February 2011.
