Enamul Haque Jr has been left out of the Bangladesh squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

Bangladesh national selectors on Friday announced that the preliminary squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 is being reduced to 23.

The selectors left out left-arm spinner Enamul Haque Jr, star of Bangladesh's first-ever Test win in 2005, out of the fresh list. Batsman Nazim Uddin, aiming for a comeback for the first time since 2008, has also not been considered.

Among the others to be left out are uncapped players Nasir Hossain, Sahagir Hossain, Shamsur Rahman, Shuvogoto Hom Chowdhury and Md Mithun.

The 23-man preliminary squad will begin its preparation for the ICC CWC 2011 with a training camp under head coach Jamie Siddons at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur from Sunday, 9 January.
