Players believe World Cup was a success
Survey conducted by the Federation of International Cricketers Association reveals a rating of good or above by 94 percent of players towards the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011
The results of the survey, covering a sample size of 45 cricketers who are part of FICA's affiliate Player Associations, were released on Thursday.
The survey was conducted at the end of the ICC CWC 2011 and was focused on various aspects of the tournament, together with other relevant issues in world cricket today.
The Decision Review System (DRS) used for the first time in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 also received a huge thumbs-up from the players.
Around 82% of the players believe the DRS made for better decision making at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The players supporting the expansion of the role of DRS was also at a high 85 percent. The concept of DRS being compulsory in all Test Matches also found support from 97% of the players surveyed.
