Jayawardena, Herath rested for ODIs
Angelo Perera and Thisara Perera recalled in both ODI and T20I squads, while Herath’s participation in T20Is uncertain due to knee injury
Mahela Jayawardena has been rested for ODI series against Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh in two Twenty20 Internationals before the ODIs, and though both Jayawardena and Herath are part of the T20I squad, Herath’s participation will depend on the status of his knee injury, which has also made him a doubtful starter for the second Test that begins on Wednesday (February 4).
Dimuth Karunaratne and Lahiru Thirimanne were dropped from the team that lost the ODI series against Pakistan by a 3-2 margin, while Angelo Perera, who has been in good form in the domestic season, and Thisara Perera earned recalls and will be part of both ODI and T20I squads.
