United Arab Emirates' bowlers responded brilliantly on the second day of the ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Kenya to restrict the hosts to a mere six-run lead
Resuming at its overnight score of 91 for 3, Kenya innings never really took off. Kenya lost wickets at regular intervals in response to UAE's 213. It required a late charge by Rajesh Bhudia (44) to ensure a slender lead for the home team.
For UAE, Amjad Javed (3-43), Shoaib Sarwar (2-42), Ahmed Raza (2-31) and Mohammad Tauqir (2-26) shared the wickets around.
In its second innings, UAE was well served by an unbeaten 124 run stand for the fourth wicket between Saqib Ali (70: 135b, 8x4, 1x6) and Amjad Javed (66: 76b, 5x4, 2x6). UAE ended the second day's play at 155 for 3 to gain an overall lead of 149. The hosts now need to pull things back to make the contest even more interesting.
