Tanmay Mishra plays a shot en route to his century.
Tanmay Mishra's ton led the way in a solid batting display as Kenya finished the first day of their ICC Intercontinental Cup match on 297-7 against Namibia in Windhoek.

Mishra fell in the last over of the day after making 108 off 200 balls with 17 boundaries.

The right-hander arrived at the crease with Kenya struggling on 71-3 but a 99-run stand with skipper Collins Obuya (56) then moved the game back towards the batting side.

Namibia kept chipping away and the wicket of Mishra in the final over will have brightened their spirits after struggling through much of the last two sessions of the day.

Christi Viljoen was his team's most successful bowler but was also expensive as his three wickets cost 103 runs.

Namibia and Kenya entered the match languishing in sixth and seventh respectively in the ICC Intercontinental Cup but a victory would see either make significant strides up the table.
