Namibia's charge on the third day of the ICC Intercontinental Cup was halted by a stubborn Canada tail on Saturday on the third day of the match.

At the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek, Canada ended the day at 167-7 in 58 overs just 67 runs ahead of Namibia.

Earlier Namibia resuming at the overnight score of 293-6 were bowled out for 374.

Namibia lost early wickets in the morning session, but stubborn knocks by Gerhard Erasmus (40) and Louis Klazinga (22 n.o.) helped swell the lead to 100.

For Canada, Durand Soraine (4-66) and Junaid Siddiqui (3-81) were the key wicket-takers alongside Rizwan Cheema (2-43).

In the second innings, Canada lost wickets at regular intervals with only Nitish Kumar (31) providing resistance early on.

Later Zeeshan Siddiqi with his unbeaten knock of 45 held the innings together.

But Christi Viljoen (5-46) had scythed through the Canada top and middle-order to leave the visitors in trouble.
