Kenya beat Namibia by six wickets in the first of two ICC World Cricket League Championship meetings in Windhoek on Thursday.

Chasing 130, Namibia reached their target with a massive 115 balls to spare.

Namibia never recovered from slipping to 15-3 inside the first 10 overs after being put into bat.

Opening bowler Nehemiah Odhiambo (2-21) started the rot with two early wickets before Nelson Odhiambo (3-31) and James Ngoche (2-26) ensured there was to be no recovery.

Raymond van Schoor (22) top-scored for Namibia in a batting performance that was in stark contrast to their effort in the recent ICC Intercontinental Cup victory over the same team.

Nambia's hopes were briefly raised in reply when they reduced Kenya to 37-2 but Morris Ouma (26) and Tanmay Mishra (34 not out) batted steadily with the run-rate never a concern.

Mishra was joined by Rakep Patel (13 not out) in an unbeaten fifth-wicket stand of 32 to complete the formalities.

Namibia remain rooted to the bottom of the table while victory for Kenya in the second meeting, on Saturday, would lift them above Afghanistan into fifth.
