Namibia made a great comeback to reduce Netherlands to 280 for 9 wickets at stumps on Day 2 of their Intercontinental Cup match in Windhoek on Friday, as the visitors took a 4 run lead on the first innings.

Netherlands seemed to be heading for a big first innings lead when they reached 150/1 at tea, but Namibia struck with regular wickets to get back into the game.

Micheal Rippon and Tom Cooper put on 111 for the second wicket before Craig Williams made the breakthrough, dismissing Rippon for 65.

Louis Klazinga dismissed Wesley Barresi (12) and Tom Cooper (83) in quick succession before Christi Viljoen broke through the middle order.

He dismissed Daan van Bunge (16), Peter Borren (10), Mudassar Bukhari (8) and Timm van der Gugten (0) to finish the day with 4 wickets for 68 runs off 24 overs.

Bernard Scholtz dismissed Tim Gruijters for 16 as Netherlands reached 280 for 9 at stumps.

With a 4-run lead on the first innings and only one wicket left, the match is now very evenly balanced.
