England seal series 2-0

Graeme Swann plays the lead role as England win after New Zealand batsmen struggle amid rain interruptions on the final day at Headingley

England seal series 2-0 - Cricket News
Graeme Swann of England celebrates dismissing Tim Southee of New Zealand.
Graeme Swann bowled England to a 247-run in the second and final Test against New Zealand in Leeds on Tuesday (May 28) with rain unable to save New Zealand from slipping to a 2-0 series loss.

Swann took 6 for 90 for a match return of 10 for 132 as New Zealand, chasing 468 for victory, were dismissed for 220.

Rain was the biggest obstacle to England recording a win on the final day, but England grabbed the four wickets it needed in the little play that took place either side of delays for bad weather.

New Zealand, 158 for 6 overnight, resumed with Brendon McCullum on zero and Tim Southee on four. But McCullum was out for one caught and bowled by Stuart Broad.

Southee and Doug Bracewell put together 56 runs for the eighth wicket, but with Swann in good rhythm, they only managed to delay the inevitable.
