Bowlers give Bermuda convincing win over Denmark - Cricket News
Tre Manders scored an unbeaten 45 off 65 balls to hand UAE its second win in a row.
A strong bowling performance from Bermuda gave the side a nine-wicket win over Denmark in the tenth match of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Saturday (November 16). Bermuda easily overhauled Denmark’s 111 for 8, with 3.4 overs to spare.
Winning the toss and batting first, Denmark struggled to build significant partnerships with Bermuda picking up wickets at regular intervals. Freddie Klokker, the Denmark captain, scored 23 runs and Hamid Shah was the only other batsman to make an impact, chipping in with 31 while batting at No.6. Derrick Brangman picked up three wickets for Bermuda giving away 29 runs in his four overs. Jacobi Robinson and Dion Stovell bagged two wickets each.
Bermuda's chase was led by Tre Manders who scored an unbeaten 45 off 65 balls, well supported by Stovell and David Hemp, who chipped in with 24 and 27 not out respectively. Yasir Iqbal picked up the only wicket to fall, that of Stovell, who was stumped by Klokker.
This was Bermuda’s second win in a row.
