Zimbabwe's convincing 335 runs victory over Bangladesh in the first Test in Harare on Saturday, its first Test victory in 20 months and 10th in 90 Tests to date, has helped its players make impressive gains in the latest Reliance ICC Player Rankings that were released on Sunday.

The biggest mover in the batting table is captain Brendan Taylor, whose 171 and 102 not out has earned him a career-best ranking of 29th. He achieved this after jumping 41 places and is now the highest-ranked batsman from either side.

Graeme Cremer, who contributed 42 and 43, and also featured in a 106-run seventh wicket partnership with Taylor in the first innings, has also broken into the top 100 for the first time in 100th position, after rising 25 places.

Bangladesh's top order batsmen Mohammad Ashraful and Jahurul Islam are the only batsman from the touring side to move up the order. Ashraful has gained four places and is now in 65th spot while Jahurul has earned 11 places and now occupies 85th position.

Bangladesh batsmen losing ground in the latest rankings include Shakib Al Hasan in 37th (down by eight places), Mushfiqur Rehman in 40th (down by three places), Nasir Hossain in 50th (down by four places), Shahriar Nafees in 69th (down by three places) and Mahmudullah in 79th (down by four places).

The batting table is headed by Hashim Amla of South Africa with West Indies' Shivnarine Chanderpaul in second spot.

In the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for Test bowlers, Zimbabwe's Kyle Jarvis has achieved a career-best ranking of 43rd. The 24-year-old Jarvis, who played in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2008 in Malaysia, has been rewarded with a jump of 14 places after he recorded figures of four for 40 and three for 75.

Shingi Masakadza is the other Zimbabwe bowler to head in the right direction. The pacer had match figures of five for 58, including a career-best four for 32, that has helped him rocket 42 places into 87th position, while Cremer has climbed 21 places to 92nd position after claiming four for four in the second innings.

The biggest mover for Bangladesh is Robiul Islam, whose figures of three for 84 and six for 71 have put him in 68th spot after jumping 24 places.

South Africa's pace duo of Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander occupy the top two bowling positions.

There is no change in the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for Test all-rounders, but the gap between number-one ranked Jacques Kallis of South Africa and number-two ranked Shakib has increased to 35 ratings points. Shakib had earlier entered the Harare Test trailing Kallis by three ratings points.
