Angelo Mathews, the Sri Lanka captain, will hold his pre-tournament media conference on Tuesday.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the details of captains’ pre-tournament media conferences, team training sessions and one warm-up match until Friday 31 May, as well as information on the online media zone and accreditation centres.  

Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews and Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq will hold their pre-tournament media conferences in Birmingham on Tuesday 28 May.  

Mathews will hold his media conference in the Sonata Room at the Hyatt Hotel at 0945, while Misbah will hold his media conference in the same room at 1000.  

Meanwhile, the West Indies, which arrives in Cardiff later today, will hold a training session at Cardiff Wales Stadium from 1400 on Tuesday.  

The following is the schedule for Tuesday 28 May:  
· Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews will hold his pre-tournament media conference in the Sonata Room, Hyatt Hotel, Birmingham, at 0945.  For further information, please contact Sri Lanka team manager Michael De Zoysa (+44 (0) 778 452 0697) (This number will be operational from 27 May).

The following is the schedule for Wednesday 29 May:  

· West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo will hold his pre-tournament media conference at the Thomas Suite, St David’s Hotel, Cardiff, at 1345. Afterwards, the West Indies will hold a training session at Cardiff Wales Stadium from 1400. For further information, please contact West Indies media manager Philip Spooner (pspooner@windiescricket.com)  

· Australia captain Michael Clarke will hold his pre-tournament media conference at the Thomas Suite, St David’s Hotel, Cardiff, at 1400. At 1000, Australia will hold a training session at Cardiff Wales Stadium. For more information, please contact Australia media manager Kate Hutchison (kate.hutchison@cricket.com.au)

The following is the schedule for Thursday 30 May:  
· India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will hold his pre-tournament media conference in the Scherzo Room, Hyatt Hotel, Birmingham, at 1100. For further information, please contact India media manager Dr Baba (drbaba_65@yahoo.co.in).   

· Also in Birmingham, Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in a warm-up match starting at Edgbaston at 1300. STAR Sports will produce live broadcast coverage of this match, and match-day protocols apply.   

· West Indies will hold a training session at Cardiff Wales Stadium from 1000. For further information, please contact West Indies media manager Philip Spooner (pspooner@windiescricket.com)  

· Also in Cardiff, Australia will hold a training session at Cardiff Wales Stadium from 1400. For more information, please contact Australia media manager Kate Hutchison (kate.hutchison@cricket.com.au)

ICC Online Media Zone launched  

The ICC has launched the Online Media Zone at www.icc-cricket.com/mediazone, which is free to access and available to all media accredited for the event.  The Zone contains a wide variety of resources to help enhance media’s coverage of the tournament.  

Some of the key highlights of the ICC Online Media Zone include:
· Detailed team and player profiles for each of the eight teams
· Information on each host city and venue
· Guide to each of the three host cities
· Essential event information and details of ICC initiatives
· Contact information for event staff  

Other features that will be available on the ICC Online Media Zone in due course include:
· Squad statistics
· Transcripts of pre and post-match media conferences
· Edited/unedited video clips of post-match media conferences for free download and editorial use
· Match previews and reviews

· A full detail of practice sessions available on a daily basis, outlining media activities for upcoming days, as well as the latest ICC announcements  

Note for accredited media:  
In order to log in, you will need to use your email address as a username, and your password has been set to championstrophy1. Please change the password at the earliest opportunity by logging in to the ICC Online Media Zone and clicking on the ‘My Account’ link in the top right part of the navigation  

Those not accredited for the event but wishing to have access to the ICC Online Media Zone can emailchandresh.narayanan@icc-cricket.com to request a username.  

Media passes ready for collection  
Meanwhile, media accreditation passes for the tournament are available for collection in Birmingham, Cardiff and London.  

Media are advised to collect their cards from the accreditation centre they selected during the online application process and must bring with them a photographic ID. Media will not be allowed to collect their colleagues’ passes.  

Please note media without tournament accreditation cards will not be allowed to  attend the captains’ arrival press conferences and warm-up matches.  

The following are the accreditation centre details:  
Birmingham Location: Indoor School, Edgbaston Stadium. Enter from Edgbaston Road Day/time: From 20 May between the hours of 0900-1700 on non-match days and from 0700 on match days  

Cardiff Location: Outside of Gate 2, Cardiff Wales Stadium, off Cathedral Road Day/time: From 20 May between the hours of 0900-1700 on non-match days and from 0700 on match days   

London Location: Hobbs Gate, The Oval, off Harleyford Street. Enter through Hobbs Gate Turnstile 1 Day/Time: from 24 May between the hours of 0900-1700 on non-match days and from 0700 on match days  

Media are also advised that if they decide not to travel or do not intend to cover the ICC Champions Trophy 2013, then they must inform the ICC of the change in their plans. Failure to inform the ICC of a change in plans will jeopardise accreditation requests for all future ICC events.
