New Zealand wicketkeeper BJ Watling has been ruled out of the second Test against England starting on Friday.
 
Watling, who injured his left knee diving for a run out on the third day of the first Test, trained with the side at Headingley this morning but was ruled out after training.
 
Captain Brendon McCullum will wear the wicket-keeping gloves for the second Test, and Martin Guptill will come into the XI and bat at number six.
 
Spinner Daniel Vettori trained with the team today and he will be assessed after tomorrow’s training as to whether he can be considered for the match. Spinner Bruce Martin suffered a calf muscle injury in the first Test and has left the group.
