Apart from Safyaan Sharif, who is still not fully fit, all of the other Scotland contracted players have been selected
Cricket Scotland has named a 13-man T20 squad to face Kenya on Thursday and Friday at Mannofield, as the series between the two teams continues.
Following the World Cricket League matches, the countries will compete in two T20 matches on Thursday afternoon and Friday evening.
In what has already been an entertaining series, the matches will provide a frenetic spectacle for the Aberdeen locals through the shorter format of the game.
As these are not ICC mandatory release matches several members of the World Cricket League squad will return to their county sides.
Preston Mommsen will lead the side and will be supported by the experienced Neil Carter and Gordon Drummond. Apart from Safyaan Sharif, who is still not back to full fitness, all of the other Scotland contracted players are involved.
Scotland has two wicket keeping options within the squad as Craig Wallace and Matthew Cross are included, both of whom are attacking batsmen. Michael Leask is well suited for T20 cricket and his off-spin and big hitting will be a useful asset.
The fixtures will count towards ICC T20 ranking points and will provide useful experience ahead of the World T20 Qualifiers taking place in Dubai this November.
Scotland squad: Preston Mommsen, Moneeb Iqbal, Richie Berrington, Calum MacLeod, Majid Haq, Gordon Drummond, Michael Leask, Neil Carter, Craig Wallace, Matthew Cross, Freddie Coleman, Gordon Goudie, Calvin Burnett.
Both games are free entry and provide a fantastic opportunity to come and sample some international cricket. Thursday’s fixture begins at 2:00pm and the Friday evening game begins at 5:00pm.
