Hafeez dropped from Test squad for South Africa series

Pakistan selectors to add three more members following 3-day practice game in Sharjah on October 8

Hafeez dropped from Test squad for South Africa series - Cricket News
Mohammad Hafeez's poor form with the bat has led to him being dropped from the Pakistan Test team.
Mohammad Hafeez and Asad Shafiq have been left out of the 12-member squad announced by Pakistan for the upcoming Test series against South Africa in UAE.
Hafeez, whose form with the bat seems to have deserted him, has managed to score just 102 runs in his last five Tests.

Middle order batsman Umar Amin was recalled despite failing to impress in the four Tests he played in 2010, including his debut against Australia at Lord’s. Left-arm pacer Mohammad Irfan was also included in the squad.

Misbah-ul-Haq, whose captaincy came under scrutiny following Pakistan's loss to Zimbabwe in a Test last month, will continue to lead the side. The squad will see three more additions following the three-day match in Sharjah between Pakistan A and the South Africans, starting on October 8.

The first Test is scheduled to begin on October 14 in Abu Dhabi.

Squad:

Khurram Manzoor
Azhar Ali
Younis Khan
Misbah-ul-Haq (c)
Umar Amin
Adnan Akmal (wk)
Saeed Ajmal
Zulfiqar Babar
Abdur Rehman
Junaid Khan
Mohammad Irfan
