Australia's six-wicket win over Pakistan in the one-off T20I opened a four-point gap over sixth-ranked New Zealand.
Australia has opened a four-point gap over sixth-ranked New Zealand in the Reliance ICC T20I Team Rankings following its six-wicket victory in the one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium over Pakistan, which has slipped behind third-ranked South Africa by a fraction of a point.
 
David Warner’s 39-ball 53 not out has helped the Australia opener move up two places to number seven in the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for T20I Batsmen, with Pakistan’s Ahmed Shehzad dropping to 10th spot.
 
In the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for T20I Bowlers, Mitchell Starc has climbed two places to fourth, while Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has moved up one place to seventh.
 
Man of the Match Glenn Maxwell was the big mover overall and he has risen 11 places following his figures of three for 13. He now shares 44th position with Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah. This is Maxwell’s highest career ranking to date.
