Kenya-Namibia match pushed to reserve day

Wet outfield due to overnight rain rules out even toss on scheduled match-day

Kenya-Namibia match pushed to reserve day - Cricket News
Wet outfield due to overnight rain meant that even the toss could not take place, pushing the Kenya-Namibia match to the reserve day.
The ICC World Cricket League championship match between Kenya and Namibia was deferred to Monday (November 2), the reserve day, as a wet outfield made play impossible at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek on Sunday.

Overnight rain meant that even the toss could not take place.

If the game does take place on Monday, it will be the second time the sides clash in four days after Kenya won a high-scoring thriller by 11 runs on October 30.

Kenya had stacked up 287 for 7 in 50 overs after half-centuries from Alex Obanda (52) and Rakep Patel (80). In reply, Namibia captain Stephan Baard hit a valiant 132 off just 106 balls, but it went in vain as his side folded for 276 in 49 overs.

Kenya is third in the points table with four points from three games while Namibia is sixth with two points from the same number of matches.
