A delegation of the International Cricket Council (ICC) will visit Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 4 to 7 November.
A delegation of the International Cricket Council (ICC) will visit Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 4 to 7 November to discuss the safety and security plans for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup tournament, which will be staged in Bangladesh next year from22 January to 14 February.
 
The delegation will be led by ICC Chief Executive, David Richardson, and will also include ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley, and ICC security consultants.
 
During the visit, the delegation will meet representatives from the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the Bangladesh government as well as the local intelligence agencies and will discuss matters relating to the safety and security of the tournament.
 
Following the visit, as part of normal operating procedures for an event of this nature, a confidential report will be provided to the ICC Board for its consideration.
 
South Africa will defend the title in Bangladesh as Australia will aim to win the event for the fourth time. When the event was last staged in Bangladesh in 2006, Pakistan had lifted the trophy.
