The New Zealand White Ferns have swept to third place on the ICC Women’s Championship table courtesy of an emphatic victory in the second One-Day International in Lincoln.

The win also carries New Zealand Women to a 2-0 Series lead, with one ICC Women’s Championship game to come in the inaugural five-ODI series between the teams.

Captain Suzie Bates enjoyed a strong allround day with 3-27 off her 10 overs and an unbeaten 44-ball 70 as fellow opener Rachel Priest backed up her maiden century in the first game with an unbeaten 51.

Sri Lanka was dismissed for 126 in 46.5 overs after being sent in, while Sophie Devine picked up her 50th ODI wicket.

The third ODI is at the same venue, Bert Sutcliffe Oval, on Saturday.
