Nasir Jamshed was left out based on his poor run in the two series, where he managed only 56 runs in three T20Is.
Nasir Jamshed, the batsman, and Abdur Rehman, the left-arm spinner, were left out of the Pakistan squad -- announced in Lahore on Sunday (December 1) -- for the upcoming Twenty20 International matches against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
 
Zulfiqar Babar, the left-arm spinner who missed the recent home and away limited-overs series against South Africa due to a finger injury, replaced Rehman.
 
Jamshed was left out based on his poor run in the two series, where he managed only 56 runs in three T20Is.
 
Haris Sohail, the middle-order batsman, and Sharjeel Khan, the uncapped opener, have also been included in the 14-man squad to tour UAE.
 
Saeed Ajmal, meanwhile, has made himself unavailable for the first match – the one-off T20I against Afghanistan – owing to family reasons, and is scheduled to join the team on Sunday (December 8) for the remainder of the tour. 

Pakistan will play Afghanistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday before taking on Sri Lanka in Dubai on Wednesday (December 11) and Friday (December 13) in two day-night T20Is.
