One of the most destructive batsmen in the shortest format, McCullum leads the Twenty20 International batting charts, having scored 2140 runs in 71 matches at an impressive strike-rate of 136.21.
McCullum is the only batsman to have scored two centuries in T20Is. The first century - 116 off just 56 balls- came in the tied encounter against Australia in 2010. New Zealand won the one-over eliminator. In the ICC World T20 2010, McCullum brought up his second T20I century, hitting 58-ball 123 with seven sixes and 11 boundaries, against Bangladesh.
The hard-hitting batsman is the fifth-highest run-scorer in ICC World T20. He has scored 637 runs in 25 matches at a strike-rate of 128.42.
McCullum's leadership was a reflection of his aggressive approach at the crease. He was widely credited with New Zealand's successful ICC World Cup 2015 campaign, where it made it to the final. He was also named the captain of ICC's team of World Cup 2015.
