The 26-year old right hand batsman has played two Twenty20 Internationals, both against Zimbabwe in July 2015. Pandey made his mark in the fifth and final ODI against Australia in Sydney in January 2016, scoring his maiden ODI century and leading India to victory. He has been part of India’s Under-19 World Cup winning side in 2008. In 2009, playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, he became the first Indian to hit a century in the Indian Premier League. A consistent performer for Karnataka in the domestic circuit, Pandey has been on the selectors' radar and was called up to India's World Twenty20 2016 squad to replace an injured Yuvraj Singh.
