Laura Marsh made her Test debut against India Women at Grace Road, Leicester, in August 2006 and took 5 for 83, the best bowling figures in the match for either side. Since then she has played in 72 ODIs taking 85 wickets (economy 3.90), and 58 T20Is taking 56 wickets (economy 5.26), making her an important member of the team bowling attack. In the 2009 Women’s World Cup, Marsh was the leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 16 wickets, which also included tournament-best figures of 5 for 15 against Pakistan Women in Sydney (March 2009).
She is no slouch with the bat either: She once smashed 44 off 42 balls in an ODI against New Zealand in 2012 at Lincoln.
Marsh played for Sydney Sixers, finalists in the inaugural Women's Big Bash League in Australia.
