ICC Development Awards

The ICC Development Awards are a celebration of the growth of cricket in the ICC’s 92 Associate Members. In order to celebrate what was a truly memorable year for Associate cricket, we are delighted to confirm the categories for 2019 which will identify some of the outstanding projects and performances that took place over the course of the year. These categories are:

Gray-Nicolls Participation Programme of the Year

The winner of this award will be an outstanding participation programme that either introduces new participants, boys and girls, to cricket or sees participants who have had an initial exposure to the game transition into regular players, whether in a club or community setting.

100% Cricket Female Participation Programme of the Year

The winner of this award will be an outstanding participation programme that either introduces new female participants to cricket or sees female participants who have had an initial exposure to the game transition into regular players, whether in a club or community setting.

Associate Member Men’s Performance of the Year

The winner of this award will be for the Men’s on-field performance of the year by an Associate Member in an ICC event or bilateral cricket.

Associate Member Women’s Performance of the Year

The winner of this award will be for the Women’s on-field performance of the year by an Associate Member in an ICC event or bilateral cricket.

Digital Engagement of the Year

This new award will celebrate an Associate Member that has made innovative use of digital platforms, campaigns or technology to drive engagement with fans and the wider community.

Cricket 4 Good Initiative of the Year

This award is for a project where cricket is used as a vehicle for social change or development. Whether it be female empowerment, health or education, the project will use cricket as a platform to deliver and impact on wider social development issues facing the communities and individuals involved.

global winner will be announced for all of the above award categories. Additionally, there will be regional winners for the Gray-Nicolls Participation Programme of the Year and the 100% Cricket Female Participation Programme of the Year, making a total of 14 awards.

Each Member is invited to submit as many nominations to as many categories as they wish. Nominations will close at 17:00 on 26th May 2020 UAE Standard Time. With winners to be announced at the end of July 2020.
