ICC Development Awards

The ICC Development Awards are a celebration of the growth of cricket in the ICC’s 92 Associate Members. The awards recognise the outstanding work undertaken to grow cricket on a daily basis by individuals and groups around the world.

The six categories for the 2017 awards are as follows:

• Gray-Nicolls Best Overall Cricket Development Programme
• Best Women’s Cricket Initiative of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Image of the Year
• Spirit of Cricket
• Lifetime Service Award

Each Member is invited to submit as many nominations to as many categories as they wish. Nominations will close at 23.59 on 20 June UAE Standard Time. With winners to be announced on 1 July.

Gray-Nicolls Best Overall Cricket Development Programme
This award places emphasis on excellence in all areas including governance, management, performance, participation and promotion. The winner of this award will be a high performing national cricket body with an excellent national cricket pathway that caters for senior and junior players, both male and female who has excelled in the previous 12 months.

Best Women’s Cricket Initiative of the Year
Relates to any outstanding initiative or activity such as competitions, school programs, training courses, clinics or awareness programs that has enhanced the development of women’s cricket within the community or country in the previous 12 months.

Volunteer of the Year
Relates to volunteers who have made a significant contribution to cricket development in the previous 12 months.

Image of the Year
A photo that captures the essence of cricket in action. The photo must have been taken in the past year and relate to cricket in the country and/or region. The photographer must provide consent. Photos can be originals or high quality jpg.

Spirit of Cricket
Relates to an initiative, activity or event that encapsulates a Member’s commitment to social responsibility and the ‘Spirit of Cricket’.

Lifetime Service Award
Relates to individuals who have provided a minimum of 10 years’ service and commitment to the development of cricket in a community or Member.
