MoneyGram and Cricket

MoneyGram first partnered with the ICC in 2010, covering major events such as the ICC World Twenty20 (2010, 2012 and 2014), and the ICC Cricket World Cup (2011 and 2015). In January 2016, an eight-year upgraded extension agreement was announced, securing MoneyGram’s association with world cricket through to 2023. This fitted in to MoneyGram’s wider Go Beyond Boundaries campaign.

MoneyGram are committed to creating fun, engaging spectator experiences. For the MoneyGram Commentary Challenge, fans were asked to submit their best go at cricket commentary for a chance to win a trip to London and a tour of Lord’s Cricket Ground.

On the MoneyGram website, the company houses a Googly feature where fans can play games, trivia, and more. Their website also features an Untold Stories section that includes incredible, personal stories from the all-time favourite cricketers, so fans get an opportunity to know their favourite players in a way never before.

Bira91 has entered into a five-year deal with the International Cricket Council (ICC). The partnership, which runs through 2023, confirms Bira91 as the official sponsor of ICC global tournaments including the ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC T20 World Cup, ICC World Test Championship, ICC U19 Cricket World Cup and the ICC Women’s Championship.

As an official partner, Bira91 will integrate the partnership across broadcast and digital platforms, and in-venue activations at all ICC events through their range of products.

Coca-Cola and Cricket

The ICC and Coca-Cola have entered into a five-year global strategic partnership to celebrate one of the world’s most popular sports – cricket, and its global events. The partnership will see The Coca-Cola Company’s brands becoming exclusive non-alcoholic beverage partners of the ICC until 2023.

The five-year agreement includes all ICC events around the world including the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales, the ICC men’s and women’s T20 World Cups in Australia in 2020, the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021 in New Zealand and the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India in 2023 amongst other global tournaments.

Importantly, the partnership will strategically align both the ICC and The Coca-Cola Company for the long-term by combining the strength of The Coca-Cola Company’s diversified portfolio of over 500 brands as well as worldwide reach with ICC’s ambition to expand the sport’s footprint globally.
