1. Started playing cricket seriously only in 1993-94, when he attended Imran Khan's coaching clinics in Sialkot.

2. Is one of six players – along with Lance Klusener, Shahid Afridi, Abdur Razzaq, Hashan Tillakaratne and Mohammad Rafique – to have batted in ten different positions in the order in ODIs; in his case, No. 11 is the only gap.
