ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup lineup confirmed
Media Release
The United States of America has booked a berth in the ICC Under 19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026, the lineup for which is now complete.
The U.S. won the Qualifier at home in Georgia that was completed on Sunday, joining Afghanistan (Asia), Japan (East Asia Pacific), Scotland (Europe) and Tanzania (Africa), who have already made it through other regional qualifiers.
Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the West Indies were direct qualifiers by virtue of being the top 10 Full Member teams of the previous edition of the tournament hosted by South Africa.
Zimbabwe have qualified as Full Member hosts while Namibia missed out as they lost to Tanzania in the Africa Qualifier.
At the ICC Under19 Men’s Cricket World Cup next year, the 16 teams will be divided into four groups with the top three from each group advancing to the Super Six stage.
In the Super Six stage, the top three teams from Groups A and D will be in one Super Six group while the top three teams from Groups B and C will be in another Super Six group.
Each team carries forward the number of points, wins, and net run rate earned against other Super Six teams and will then play two matches in the Super Six against the opponents from the corresponding group that finished in a different group stage position.
The top two teams from each group in the Super Six will qualify for the semi-finals, with the winners contesting the Final.
