PLAYERRUNS
Debbie Hockley (New Zealand)1501
Mithali Raj (India)1321
Jan Brittin (England)1299
Charlotte Edwards (England)1231
Suzie Bates (New Zealand)1179

New Zealand great Debbie Hockley has held this record since the seventh edition of the tournament back in 2000 and not even India legend Mithali Raj could overtake her haul.

But another New Zealander is within striking distance, with veteran right-hander Suzie Bates just 322 runs in arrears of her fellow Kiwi with the opener likely to receive at least seven matches to claim the record.

Harmanpreet Kaur (876 runs) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (805) are inside the top 12 for leading run-scorers in the history of the event and could also come into contention with a massive tournament.

PLAYERRUNS
Belinda Clark (Australia)229* v Netherlands (1997)
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka)178* v Australia (2017)
Charlotte Edwards (England)173* v Ireland (1997)
Harmanpreet Kaur (India)171* v Australia (2017)
Stafanie Taylor (West Indies)171 v Sri Lanka (2013)

Belinda Clark's memorable innings of 229* against Denmark in Mumbai at the sixth edition of the tournament in 1997 has stood the test of time for almost 28 years, but could the long-standing record of the Australian great be in danger this time around?

There is a plethora of quality batters across the eight teams in action at this year's edition of the Women's World Cup and the good batting wickets in India and Sri Lanka are sure to offer the best players plenty of opportunity to score freely.

A quartet of players have scored four centuries at the Women's World Cup, but as yet no one has managed to reach triple figures on five occasions.

Two players with four Women's World Cup centuries to their name will be in action in India and Sri Lanka, with England skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt and New Zealand right-hander Suzie Bates the best placed to be the first player to score a fifth hundred at the tournament.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has three Women's World Cup centuries to her name and could also claim the record during the event.

PLAYERWICKETS
Jhulan Goswami (India)43
Lynn Fullston (Australia)39
Carole Hodges (England)37
Clare Taylor (England)36
Shabnim Ismail (South Africa)36
Megan Schutt (Australia)34
Anya Shrubsole (England)34

India legend Jhulan Goswami holds a narrow advantage at the top of the list for most wickets in Women's World Cup history, but there are three experienced seamers that will feature at this year's tournament that are in with a legitimate chance of overhauling her total of 43 scalps.

Australia pacer Megan Schutt has a total of 34 wickets in Women's World Cup history having made her debut in India at the 2013 edition, while South Africa all-rounder Marizanne Kapp (32 wickets) and Aussie teammate Ellyse Perry (31) could also claim top billing with some good efforts with the ball this year.

Kapp and Perry are among a group of five players at this year's event who are playing at their fifth Women's World Cup, with New Zealand duo Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates and India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur he others to debut back at the 2009 edition and play in every tournament since.

Best bowling figures in Women's World Cup history

Only four players have managed six-wicket hauls in a single Women's World Cup match, with New Zealand spinner Jackie Lord leading the way with figures of 6/10 against India in Auckland during the third edition of the tournament back in 1982.

No one has bettered that effort, with New Zealand compatriot Glenys Page (6/20) and England duo Sophie Ecclestone (6/36) and Anya Shrubsole (6/46) the only other bowlers to claim six wickets in a Women's World Cup match previously.

Could we see a seven-wicket haul or better on the sub-continent in India and Sri Lanka?
