Ireland gained 13 points from its drawn ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Afghanistan.

On the fourth and final day of its contest in Dublin, Ireland began at its overnight score of 126-2. Ireland finally declared at 251-4 with an overall lead 167.

Wicket-keeper Gary Wilson (73: 100b, 11x4) and Andrew White (62 n.o.: 89b, 11x4) shared a 119 runs fourth wicket stand.

For Afghanistan, Izatullah Dawlatzai (1-73), Gulbodin Naib (1-33), Karim Sadiq (1-36) and Mohammad Nabi (1-24) shared the wickets.

In its second innings, Afghanistan fared better with skipper Karim Sadiq (46) and Javed Ahmadi (59: 94b, 9x4) sharing a 106-runs opening wicket stand.

Thereafter Asghar Stanikzai (51 n.o.: 84b, 8x4) held the innings together. For Ireland, Stuart Thompson (3-51) and Max Sorensen (2-36) were the key wicket-takers.

Afghanistan finished at 208-7 in 67 overs.

Afghanistan pocketed seven points from the contest.
