Abidi hands Pakistan six-wicket win

South Africa's batters lackluster; post 64 for 8 in 20 overs before Pakistan knocks off target in 14 overs

Abidi hands Pakistan six-wicket win - Cricket News
Nain Abidi scored a 32-ball 28 to hand Pakistan Women a six-wicket win.
Pakistan Women cruised to a comfortable six-wicket win over South Africa Women in the first match of the PCB Qatar Women’s 20-over Tri-Series at Doha, Qatar, on Sunday (January 19).
After being put in, South Africa’s batters failed to string together any good partnership. Pakistan’s bowling unit was relentless and did not allow the opposition to settle down. Mignon du Preez (14), the captain, and Marizanne Kapp (11), were the only two players to get to double figures. With no contribution of note, South Africa managed to put up only 64 after 20 overs, for the loss of eight wickets.
Pakistan’s bowlers hunted in a pack. Nida Dar was impressive with her off-breaks, and returned 2 for 3 off four overs. Sadia Yousuf, the left-arm spinner, finished with 2 for 17 off her quota. Asmavia Iqbal, Sania Khan, Sana Mir and Qanita Jalil, all accounted for a wicket each.
In reply, Pakistan was 26 for 2 before Nain Abidi, the opener, and Jalil, came together for a 34-run stand. After Jalil’s dismissal in the 13th over for 21, Abidi gave Marizanne Kapp her first wicket, with one run needed to win.  Bismah Maroof and Sana Mir, the Pakistan captain, then completed the formalities, to hand Pakistan a six-wicket win.
Abidi was named the Player of the Match for her 32-ball 28.
Chloe Tyron, the left-arm pacer, took 2 for 8 off three overs, while Kapp and Sunetter Loubser took a wicket each.
