Kepler Wessels

Australia & South Africa

Kepler Wessels was part of Australia’s 1983 World Cup squad, before switching back to his native South Africa for their debut at the tournament in 1992.

Wessels made three appearances for Australia at the World Cup, scoring 76 on debut against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge.

His first World Cup appearance for South Africa was just as fruitful, as he scored 81*, ironically against his former side Australia.

He hit 70 and 85 against Zimbabwe and England later in the tournament, as South Africa reached the semi-final at the first attempt.

Anderson Cummins

Windies & Canada

15 years separated Anderson Cummins’ World Cup appearances for the Windies in 1992 and Canada in 2007.

Cummins took 12 wickets for the Windies at the 1992 World Cup, including a fine 4-for against India, in which he was Player of the Match.

Cummins made a surprise return to international cricket as a 40-year-old for Canada. He played three times at the 2007 World Cup and took a single wicket against both Kenya and England.

Eoin MorganIreland & England

England ODI captain Eoin Morgan has played at three World Cups, two for England and one for Ireland.

His World Cup debut came for Ireland against Zimbabwe in 2007, a tournament in which he made nine appearances.

Following his switch to England in 2009, Morgan was named in England’s squad for the 2011 World Cup, where he returned an impressive two half-centuries in just three games.

He has since captained England at the 2015 World Cup, and will be hoping to lead them to their first Men’s World Cup title at next year’s tournament.

Ed Joyce

England & Ireland

Ed Joyce took the opposite path to Morgan, starting with England before returning to the country of his birth.

Like Morgan, Joyce has played at the last three Cricket World Cups, representing England in 2007 and Ireland in 2011 and 2015.

Joyce scored two half-centuries for England at the 2007 tournament against Canada and Kenya.

In his first World Cup for Ireland in 2011, he made six appearances, including their famous win against England. He also scored 84 against the Windies.

Joyce was in fine form during Ireland’s 2015 World Cup campaign, where history repeated itself as he scored 84 against the Windies. He also scored his maiden World Cup century, hitting 112 against Zimbabwe in Hobart.
