Not only is the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier a fiercely contested competition, it is also a melting pot of different cricketing cultures, where players can bounce ideas off one another and learn from their fellow professionals' experiences in the game.

There was a fine example of that camaraderie following West Indies' six-wicket win over Papua New Guinea in Harare, when Marlon Samuels, the two-time ICC World T20 winner and a veteran of more than 300 international appearances, spent 15 minutes on the outfield with opposition players, offering them tips on technique, managing pressure and the psychological side of the game.

The PNG players listened intently as Samuels passed on knowledge gained from almost 20 years on the international circuit.

Earlier in the day, PNG had given West Indies a stern test, at one stage having their opponents 58/4 in pursuit of 201, before Jason Holder's unbeaten 99 settled any nerves as his side made it two wins from two in the competition.

PNG are still looking for their first win in the tournament but have already offered some memorable contributions, most notably Tony Ura's sensational 151 from 142 deliveries against Ireland.
