All-rounder eyes CWC and T20WC call-up for Australia
After making his T20I debut for Australia back in June, Bangladesh, the all-rounder is eyeing to leave his mark on the big stage.
As Australia prepare to defend their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup crown and host the next Men’s T20 World Cup, all-rounder Nikhil Chaudhary is hoping to earn his spot in the team across both formats.
Speaking to Cricinfo, Chaudhary expressed his ambitions over the coming months.
"I want to play 50-over cricket and, if I get a chance, Tests too,” he said.
"My first target is the 2027 ODI World Cup, and then the T20 World Cup the following year. I want to represent Australia for as long as I can.”

Chaudhary had made his T20I debut during Australia’s tour of Bangladesh in the three-match series back in June.
The 30-year-old, who is yet to make an ODI debut, has credited his work ethic for his rise within the Australian cricket circles.
"My plan has always been the same: work hard, give your best, and try to make your team win. Whatever opportunity you get, you try to perform."
Chaudhary will be travelling to India with Australia A later this month for two unofficial Tests and three ODIs against India A.
The all-rounder, who was born in Delhi, India, also opened up on being able to play for Australia.
"If you see, most players never get to represent their country. They finish their careers playing domestic cricket.
“Some move to another country to play club cricket. So, if you love cricket, you just want to play cricket; it doesn't matter for whom."
