Debutant delight as Scotland jump to top of League 2 standings
Lyle Robertson joins an elite group with six wickets on debut as Scotland continue their excellent recent run in League 2 action.
Young spinner Lyle Robertson starred on debut as Scotland finished their home ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series with a commanding victory over Canada in Dundee.
Robertson took 6/52 in his first international appearance - the fourth best bowling on debut ever in a men's ODI - as Scotland cruised to a comfortable 170-run victory in Forthill to rise to the top of the League 2 standings.

Robertson got his chance to shine after skipper Richie Berrington smashed his seventh ODI century earlier in the day to propel Scotland to a massive score of 347/7, but the 23-year-old did not look out of place as he ripped through the Canada middle-order to ensure the tri-series hosts picked up another victory.
The right-armer first removed the dangerous Harsh Thaker to start Canada's slide, before Saad Bin Zafar, Shivam Sharma, Shreyas Movva, Zahid Shirzad and Kaleem Sana all followed shortly after to ensure the visitors were bowled out for just 177 in reply.

Robertson previously played for Scotland at the 2022 edition of the ICC Men's Under-19 Cricket World Cup, though his efforts against Canada clearly outshone anything he had previously done on the cricket field.
"Tired, but what a day it's been, Robertson told Cricket Scotland after the match.
"I don't think it's really sunk in what's actually happened, but yeah, it's been a good day.
"Obviously, getting told by docs that I'd be making my debut today was a really, really good feeling.
"I've worked hard this year to get where I am, and then pretty relaxed. I felt pretty good, just went about it normally through the full day.
"When I got the ball, I felt a bit shaky, but after that first one landed, I felt quite good."
The victory sees Scotland finish their League 2 campaign in first spot having already qualified for the Qualifier tournament at the start of next year for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.
Scotland, USA and Netherlands have already done enough in League 2 play to ensure their spots in the Qualifier event in 2027, with fourth-placed Oman still in a battle with Namibia, Canada, Nepal and the UAE for the final qualification spot.
