Australia wrapped up a dominant 3-0 ODI series sweep over Bangladesh at Allan Border Field, sealing the final match with a clinical eight-wicket triumph in Brisbane.

Opting to bowl first in the series finale, Australia’s attack was led by a masterclass from veteran pacer Megan Schutt, who picked up 4/16 across 10 brilliant overs.

Schutt shredded Bangladesh’s top order early, reducing the visitors to 18/3 before fifties from Sharmin Akhter (50) and Shorna Akter (54) offered middle-order resistance.

Annabel Sutherland (2/25) and Ash Gardner (2/49) broke the key stands, wrapping up Bangladesh’s innings for 172 in 49.5 overs.

Australia made light work of the 173-run chase despite losing early wickets, hurtling past the target in just 22.4 overs with 164 balls to spare.

Ellyse Perry struck an unbeaten 65 off 64 balls, teaming up with Sutherland, who blasted a blazing 74 not out off 52 deliveries to finish the series in style.

The final victory capped off an utterly dominant week for Australia, who initially set the tone for the series in the opening match on 9 October.

In the first ODI, Annabel Sutherland produced an all-round masterclass, taking 4/30 as Bangladesh were bundled out for 166.

Australia comfortably cruised to a seven-wicket win in 25.4 overs in that opener, anchored by solid top-order contributions.

The second ODI saw Bangladesh post a competitive total of 220/6 following a historic 118 from Sobhana Mostary and 74 not out from captain Nigar Sultana.

However, young opener Georgia Voll stole the show with a sensational unbeaten 131 off 97 balls to power Australia to a nine-wicket victory in 28.1 overs.

Australia's flawless display across all three matches extends their formidable home record in the ICC Women's Championship cycle.
Bangladesh, currently in eigth place, have another cruical tour to New Zealand in December to make up for points.
