UAE announces Ireland series squad ahead of T20 World Cup
United Arab Emirates take on Ireland in two T20Is in Dubai before travelling to T20 World Cup 2026.
Muhammad Waseem will lead UAE's T20I squad for their home two-match series against Ireland, their final hit out before ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
The teams meet on January 29 and 31, before heading to India for the upcoming tournament.

There were little surprises in the selection, with mainstays Waseem, Basil Hameed and Junaid Siddique selected, alongside recent performers in Rahul Chopra, Simranjeet Singh, Harshit Kaushik and Muhammad Jawadullah.

The side are yet to name their ICC Men's T20 World Cup squad, and have until midnight on January 30 to finalise the group before the tournament begins on February 7.
UAE are in Group D at the upcoming tournament and play New Zealand on February 10 in Chennai.
They then travel to Delhi to play Canada (13 February), Afghanistan (February 16) and South Africa (February 18).
The side also take on Nepal and Italy in official warm-up action on February 3 and February 6 respectively.
UAE were the last team to qualify for the T20 World Cup, claiming their tickets via the Asia & East Asia-Pacific Qualifier that was run in October 2025.
