Abhigyan Kundu steadies India

USA bowlers breathing fire

What a start for USA after the rain break. They have picked up two quick wickets with Ayush Mhatre and Vedant Trivedi dismissed. India are 25/3 and the the ball is doing all sorts of things off the pitch. Game on!

The match resumes

The match is back underway after the rain interruption. The match has been reduced to 37 overs with India's revised target being 96.

Rain has stopped

The rain has stopped in Bulawayo but the outfield remains wet and the ground staff will need some time to dry the outfield. The play can then start if the rain remains away

Rain in Bulawayo

The covers are on and there is light rain in Bulawayo. India remain favourites to go on and win the match if play resumes but the fate of the game rests very much in hands of the Weather Gods.

Lightning stops play

The play has been halted in Bulawayo because of the lightning protocols. USA started well with the ball by picking up the big wicket of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi early. Ritvik Reddy Appidi grabbed the all-important wicket for the USA before Ayush Mhatre smashed three boundaries to take India's score to 21 before the game was interrupted.

Henil Patel was at his very best against USA.

Five-time winners India put USA in after winning the toss and Henil Patel instantly validated that decision by delivering a fiery opening spell that broke the resistance of the USA top order. The right-arm pacer picked up three wickets inside the first 12 overs.

The Indians then tightened the screws on the USA middle order to pick up wickets at regular intervals as Deepesh Devendran, Ambarish RS, Khilan Patel and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi all picked up a wicket each. Patel then returned to clean up the tail and pick up the first fifer of the tournament to bowl USA out for just 107 inside 36 overs.

Francis then took charge with the bat in Windhoek as he stitched a 80-run stand with Jewel Andrew to put the Windies on cusp of victory. Andrew fell just short of his half-century.

But Francis did reach the 50-mark before being dismissed. Tanzania picked up four wickets in quick succession to put Windies 114/5 but it wasn't enough to prevent them from losing the game as the Windies eased to the target to pick up their first win of the tournament.
