Pakistan's hopes of progressing at the ICC Under-19's Men's Cricket World Cup are alive and well after a six-wicket victory against Scotland.

Tournament urgency arrived quickly for Pakistan following their 36-run loss to England in their World Cup opener, but the bounce back win now sees them rise to second in Group C after two rounds of games.

Usman Khan's brilliant 75 and Ali Raza's 4/37 helped Pakistan to a six-wicket win over Scotland in ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2026.

Usman Khan was the hero Pakistan needed, smashing 75 off 85 with his side chasing 188 for the win. Khan was well supported by Ahmed Hussain, who made a hard fought 47 from 92 deliveries, with the pair displaying the kind of care and precision the moment called for.

Captain Farhan Yousef (18* off 11) helped complete their run chase in the 44th over, motivated to ensure his side make a deep tournament run.

Usman Khan led from the front with a sublime 75 with the bat.

"We lost the first game, but our management is (very) supportive, and we recovered," Yousef said post-game.

"The boys' morale was very high in this match, and the boys give 100 percent every time in the game."

Pakistan stormed out of the blocks on the back of opening bowler Ali Raza, who caused havoc from ball one and finished with 4/37 from his 10 overs.

The well-rounded performance was the emphatic response their skipper called for.

"Past is past," Yousef continued.

"We close this chapter and the next match against Zimbabwe, so we only focus on the Zimbabwe game and to finish on a high note."

Pakistan's last group contest with Zimbabwe is on Thursday in Harare.
