Records galore as India and Australia go full throttle before CWC25
The visitors produced a power-packed performance with the bat before Smriti Mandhana led the charge for India in the chase.
Cracking centuries by Beth Mooney (138) and Smriti Mandhana (125) set ablaze the decider of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia in Delhi.
Chasing 413 for a win, Mandhana got the hosts to a fiery start by notching her second successive ton in the ongoing series. It was the second fastest century in Women's ODI history, and fastest-ever for India Women.
In the first innings, Australia flexed their power-hitting, revving up to defend their ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup title starting September 30.
With the help of an explosive century from Mooney and standout half-centuries from Georgia Voll (81) and Ellyse Perry (68), Australia posted 412 runs on the board in the first innings.
The score marked their joint-best batting performance in Women’s ODI history, having posted the same total against Denmark back in 1997.

Following skipper Alyssa Healy’s dismissal in the fifth over by Kranti Goud, Georgia Voll and Ellyse Perry added 107 runs for the second wicket.
But just as Voll was nearing a second ODI ton, Sneh Rana managed to break the partnership.
However, the Aussies kept the momentum in their corner with Beth Mooney and Perry combining for 106-run win for the third wicket.
Mooney continued to march onto a fourth ODI ton - her career-best score in the format.
