CWC25 Final draws benchmark viewership figures

The historic ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Final that saw hosts India clinch their first world title drew numbers on par with the last Men’s T20 World Cup Final.

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Final set a new benchmark in viewership figures, reflecting the dawn of a new era in the women’s game.

JioHotstar have revealed that the summit clash attracted a staggering 185 million users to the app, equalling the viewership of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Final.

Additionally, another 92 million tuned in to watch the historic clash on Connected TV (CTV), equalling the CTV viewership figures from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Final and the Men’s Cricket World Cup Final from 2023.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s final-winning catch drew a peak concurrency of 21 million viewers.

Playing in front of a packed crowd at Dr. DY Patil Stadium, India became only the fourth team to win the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup crown - first from the sub-continent.

The hosts overcame a power-packed Proteas side to clinch their first Women’s Cricket World Cup title in what was their third appearance in the summit clash.

“The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup India 2025 has reaffirmed the growing stature of women’s cricket in India,” Ishan Chatterjee, CEO - Sports, JioStar said.

“The exceptional quality of cricket on display, especially the Indian team’s incredible performance, has driven record-breaking viewership and attracted a larger, more passionate fan base than ever before.”
