Pakistan, South Africa shaping up for CWC25 with ODI series
The two teams are set to lock horns in a three-match series starting September 16 in Lahore.
Pakistan and South Africa will be looking to iron out their preparations for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
Hosting the Proteas for an ODI series, Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana is hopeful of her side ticking all the boxes in their final bilateral assignment before the Cricket World Cup kicks off on September 30.
“A series like this is very beneficial for the team ahead of the World Cup,” Sana told PCB Digital.
“It gives the players a good opportunity to put into practice all the preparation they have done in the recent times.”
The 23-year-old believes while bowling is Pakistan's key strength, they will be eyeing to test their batting against a well-rounded Proteas bowling attack.
“Everyone knows Pakistan rely on their bowling attack, so this time our focus will be on getting more support from the batting unit as well. We worked a lot on batting during the camp.”
