Sri Lanka reveal squad for Women's World Cup 2025

The Asian side have unveiled a squad with plenty of experience for the 50-over World Cup that commences on 30 September.

Sri Lanka have announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup.

Veteran all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu will once again lead the side after she was named captain, with the experienced trio of Harshitha Samarawickrama, Nilakshika de Silva and Anushka Sanjeewani to provide her with plenty of support.

'Will to Win' campaign film unveiled for ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025

Legacies will be forged and dreams will be created as the eight teams assemble in India and Sri Lanka to battle it out for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, 2025. The 'Will to Win' campaign film reflecting the aspirations of the teams and their supporters.

Meanwhile, the likes of Kavisha Dilhari, Malki Madara, Vishmi Gunaratne, Imesha Dulani, and Dewmi Vihanga are young blood in the squad, all set to feature in their very first World Cup.

Co-hosts of the upcoming marquee tournament with India, Sri Lanka will be making their seventh appearance in the tournament's history.

The island nation had sealed qualification for the tournament after finishing fifth in the ICC Women's Championship standings.

Sri Lanka commence their campaign against hosts India in Guwahati on September 30.
