The hosts sealed the last remaining spot in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup knockouts. Here’s where all eight teams stand with the group stage nearing its end.
1. Australia – 11 points, +1.704 NRR, Qualified
The Aussies are one of just two unbeaten teams at the World Cup and the first side to have confirmed their place in the knockout stages.
They opened their account with a win over New Zealand and have also beaten Pakistan and most recently India and Bangladesh, while their matchup with Sri Lanka was washed out.
Their performance against hosts India was a signature victory, completing a mammoth run chase of 331 runs - the highest all time in Women's ODIs and their 10-wicket triumph over Bangladesh days later was just as impressive. Australia kept their winning run alive with an impressive six-wicket victory over England, handing them their first defeat of the tournament.
It’s the quality depth that defines Australia’s squad, with a plethora of options in both disciplines that set the team up for a deep run. Skipper Alyssa Healy has scored consecutive centuries against India and Bangladesh in an ominous sign for other sides.

They looked to be in trouble against Pakistan in Colombo on Wednesday, with some inclement weather allowing the side to remain unbeaten and move within striking distance of semi-final qualification before their win against India.
While skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt has consistently delivered match-winning performances, Heather Knight - who scored a fine ton against India - also appears to be peaking at the right time. As England gear up for the knockouts, opposition teams will need to keep a close eye on the former captain.
England have one match against New Zealand remaining and that will determine their final position in the standings.
